Modifications to Fairfield Hills Master Plan and Referral to P&Z Commission
Selectman Bojnowski moved to modify the Master Plan in order to renovate Bridgeport Hall for town and school offices and demolish Shelton House and construct a pond on the site and to make a mandatory referral to the Planning & Zoning Commission as per §8-24 of the Connecticut General Statutes and per Section 4.23.212 of the P&Z Regulations for construction of town and school offices.   Motion seconded.

Mr. Rosenthal stated that there have been discussions for quite some time and the Board of Selectmen need to get Planning & Zoning approvals for modifications to the Master Plan before we can go forward with any renovations to Bridgeport Hall for town and school offices.  We are at that point since we now have a conceptual plan for the building, which is shown on the town’s website and has been published in The Bee.  The Planning & Zoning Commission would then hold a public hearing within 65 days and would be required to take action within 65 days after the hearing.

Selectman Bojnowski stated that he is very much in favor of the plan to put town and school offices at Bridgeport Hall.  He will support it and believes it is the right thing to do to refer this to the Planning & Zoning Commission so that they can act on this modification.  Selectman Brimmer agreed.
MOTION UNANIMOUSLY CARRIED.

Having no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
